Day 28. Wednesday 14th January, 2009.

Day of rest today in Kalgoolie. However it wasn't exactly a day of rest, we did a lot of walking. We have to go at a slightly slower pace for Mike these days, especially going down the stairs. Hey Kevin & Vicki, do you remember how we all left Mike behind after his Fresh Start ride, well he isn't that bad but it has brought back memories! We went to the super pit mine - what an amazing place that is to watch. After that we went to the Mining Hall of Fame. We even went down an old mine which was very interesting. The tour guide had a lot of interesting tales to tell as he used to be a miner in his younger years. Listening to the conditions they had to work in & seeing what it was like, I have decided they are a tough breed. I could never have done it. We also managed to squeeze in a walk to this look out place where all the water comes in from Perth. That was a rather spectacular view.
